Richard C. DiChiara Joins Rockville Bank as
Senior Vice President Retail Banking

ROCKVILLE, CONN., January 29, 2008 - Richard C. DiChiara recently joined Rockville Bank as Senior Vice President Retail Banking. The announcement was made by William J. McGurk, President and Chief Executive Officer of Rockville Bank.

Mr. DiChiara is responsible for developing and implementing deposit strategies, overseeing branch operations, sales and service, new business development, and providing direction for a full range of retail banking products and services. Mr. DiChiara also will manage the Rockville Financial Service subsidiary.

Mr. DiChiara brings 31 years of banking experience to his new position. His most recent position was Senior Vice President, Business Banking for Bank of America.
