Schmidt has joined
Rockville Bank as
Retail Training
Officer. The
announcement was
made by William J.
McGurk, Rockville
Bank President and
Chief Executive
Officer. Ms. Schmidt
joins the Bank’s
Training Team where
she is responsible
for teaching new
employees to become
successful and
efficient retail
banking and lending
employees and to
infuse a high level
of customer service
and professionalism
throughout the Bank.
She will focus on
systems, products,
services,
compliance, sales
and service.
Ms. Schmidt brings
16 years of banking
experience to
Rockville Bank,
including the last
11 years with a
concentration in
Retail Training.
Prior to joining
Rockville Bank, Ms.
Schmidt was the
Assistant Treasurer,
Senior Training
Coordinator at
NewAlliance Bank in
New Haven, Conn.,
where she was
responsible for
scheduling and
facilitating
training for Retail
employees, including
new hire training
and orientation,
various conversion
training projects,
and on-going
training for
existing employees
including platform,
customer
service/sales, and
compliance.
She received her
Associates Degree in
Communications/Media
from Manchester
Community College.
Ms. Schmidt lives in
Stafford Springs,
Conn. with her
husband, Timothy.
She belongs to the
National Resources
Defense Council, a
national
environmental
organization that
promotes green
living, and
protecting our
natural resources.
