NATIONALLY RENOWNED EXPERT TO PRESENT
FREE SEMINAR ON PROTECTING YOURSELF FROM I.D. THEFT

GREATER HARTFORD, CONN., May 11, 2006 - Last year, 10 million people had their identities stolen. It can cost the victim thousands of dollars in bad debt and legal expenses. But knowledgeable consumers easily can protect themselves, and that's why a group of area banks invite Connecticut residents to a free "Identity Theft Seminar" featuring nationally renowned I.D. Theft Expert Robert L. Siciliano.

The event will be held on Tuesday, May 30 at Maneeley's Banquet Facility at 65 Rye St. in South Windsor, CT. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. and the presentation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Parking is free, refreshments will be provided, and several door prizes will be presented. Seminar speaker Robert L. Siciliano, who is known as "The Lifesaver," is an expert on personal security with 18 years of security training in everything from white collar crimes to martial arts, personal body guarding, bar room bouncing and observing the human condition. The Boston resident is the author of the book, The Safety Minute :01 and has been featured in magazines, newspapers, radio and television, ranging from Good Housekeeping to TV's Maury and The Montel Williams Show.

The free event is underwritten/sponsored by a group of local banks because they care about the financial security of their customers.
