Harvest for the Hungry @ Various Locations

This is the Time of Year for Fun and Adventure!

Unfortunately it is a Time of Great Need for Our Less Fortunate Neighbors!

The Business Community and the 5 Corner Cupboard are running a Month Long “Harvest”!

The “Harvest” includes not only donations to the Pantry but Businesses will be using there locations to have Non Perishable foods dropped to them.      

       Windsor Federal Savings at 1 Shoham Road and Edward Jones in Sofia’s Plaza both have drop spots operating Year Long.
Also the East Windsor Chamber of Commerce Office located in the Opera House Office Complex will be accepting drops for the Month of August.

The EWCC Encourages Other Our Members other Businesses and Residents to have drop boxes,street wide drives etc to make sure that Our Local Pantry has enough to assist those in need.

If You are a Business who will be a Drop Spot please Email and we will include you in the listing of these spots.

5th Annual Car & Bike Show @ East Windsor Park

5th Annual Broad Brook Fire Department Car Show.

Join us in a day full of gorgeous cars, trucks, tractors and motorcycles. Lots of door prizes, dash plaques, 50/50 raffle. There will be a fire truck display, DJ, and of course food and lots of fun.

Last year we saw almost 200 beautiful vehicles and we want to top that this year. Registration is only $10 and spectators are free.

All proceeds benefit the BBFD, and helps to pay for updating equipment, training and vehicle maintenance.

Business After Hours event which will be held on Wednesday, September 5th from 5:00PM  – 7:00PM at Auerfarm in Bloomfield.

This event is open to the entire family as well as business associates who are not yet Chamber members.

  • Join us for a hayride around the property.
  • Meet the resident beekeeper and see how bees produce honey.
  • Visit the Nourishing Gardens and learn about the work Healing Meals does growing, cooking and feeding food to those in need.
  • See goats, calves and the rest of the animals.
  • Tour the classrooms.
  • Learn about booking the farm for business events or family parties.

Artist Market at Agonist Gallery @ Agonist Gallery

On Sunday, September 9 Agonist Gallery will host another in our series of Artists Markets.
All area Visual Artists are invited to bring 1-3 pieces for display in the gallery for the day- 11 am to 4 pm. **There are no commissions on sales, and the price to exhibit is only $10 at the door.
Admission is FREE for our visitors, and there is ample parking.
 
Bring some new work to share and test out. Our Artists Markets are a place for artists’ to show new work without great expense or time commitment. Accepted work includes photography, painting, and sculpture. No crafts. Work will be hung on display panels normally used for outdoor art fairs.
 
There will be time to set-up between 10:30 am and 11 am. Hope to see you there!
