Dear Fellow Artists and Friends of Agonist Gallery,
 

We’re back! On Sunday, May 2, 2021, Agonist Gallery will host a Spring Artists Market.

All area visual artists are invited to bring 1-5 pieces for display in the gallery for the day- 11 am to 4 pm.
(Setup time is 10:30 am).
 
The price to exhibit is only $10 at the door with no commission on sales. We’ll also have a special presentation on “NFTs in Art” at 2 pm.
 
There will be no charge for our visitors, and there is ample parking. Appropriate COVID precautions will prevail. Hope to see you there!

Spring Fling (Beer & Wine Tasting) @ CT Trolley Museum

Sample wine and beer from local wineries and breweries while enjoying all the Museum has to offer including live music. Stay posted for which Food Trucks will be on-site. Cost will be $20 for adults and seniors (21+) which will cover admission to the museum and the tastings. Children ages 3 and under free, ages 4-12 $8 and ages 13+ $11.
Additionally, take as many trolley rides as you would like operated by period dressed motormen. Learn historic information about each car you ride and how the museum began. Inside the Visitor Center you will find static trolley cars and artifacts and a gift shop to buy that ‘special’ souvenir. On the same grounds is the Connecticut Fire Truck Museum complete with antique fire trucks and apparatus. All activities, tastings and Fire Truck Museum entrance is included with your admission price.

The Connecticut Trolley Museum is located at 58 North Road (Rt. 140) and is a short 15 minutes north of Hartford or a short 15 minutes south of Springfield.

Join the Museum for live Music in the outside courtyard and take a Trolley ride while enjoying the beautiful outdoors. Everyone will be practicing social distancing and will have designated marked areas. Please bring your own lawn chair for sitting while listening to the music. Pack a picnic basket full of your favorite goodies including Beer & Wine. $10 for any ages- includes Trolley Museum, Fire Museum, Trolley Ride and Music and Half Off for Museum Members.

The Warehouse Point Library, will have a large book sale on Saturday, May 22nd from 8am to 3pm

Come to the parking lot at 107 Main Street, East Windsor for some great bargains! Over 7000 books!   Choose from a variety of adult fiction and non-fiction, young adult and children’s books, as well as audiobooks, CDs and DVDs and even some LP’s and even puzzles. Unvaccinated individuals and children need to wear masks.  For more information please call the Library at 860-623-5482.

Spring Plant and Yard sale

The East Windsor Garden Club will be holding its Spring Plant and Yard sale this year on May 22nd from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM at 235 Rye Street.

There will be perennials, shrubs, small trees, herbs, houseplants, gardening tools and books for sale as well as miscellaneous household items and vintage collectibles.

All proceeds from this event will benefit town beautification projects, educational programs and a scholarship fund. For more information call 860-627-5277.
