Here is what Teresa had to say about working for the Town of East Windsor,
“My favorite part of the job is the wonderful relationship I share with both the staff and the seniors.
The staff that I work with are very caring and sensitive to the seniors needs. Working through Covid together brought many changes but we were able to let the seniors know they were not facing such a frightening time alone.
I have also been very fortunate to have worked and corresponded with so many wonderful employees from other departments in the Town. They have all been so helpful when I’ve needed a question answered or help with an issue concerning their department.
I hope that I have made the seniors feel comfortable in coming to me with not only their transportation needs but with any concerns they may have that are causing them stress or sadness. We really do feel like a family here at the center and for me, that has been a huge accomplishment.
When a senior comes to the center for the first time, they are often nervous. I hope I have made them feel comfortable and welcome.
In my job I have worked on several grants through the DOT for funding towards a new bus.
We have been awarded several times over the years which has been very satisfying. I have been so fortunate to have worked a job for 20 years that I’ve enjoyed so much.”
