Syme Family Farm is very excited to welcome this 1903.5 lb Giant Pumpkin to our farm! Syme’s friend Ken spent many months growing this beauty in Connecticut and they are very fortunate to have it on display for the next week.
Ken entered her in the Durham Fair Giant Pumpkin Contest last week where she placed 3rd heaviest!
Imagine driving this down the highway to get to the Durham Fairgrounds!?!?
He also won the Howard Dill award which is given to the “prettiest pumpkin”, meaning it has beautiful color, symmetry and size.
Ken will be here on Saturday morning to answer questions and talk about his Giant Pumpkin. He has been growing Giant Pumpkins for years but this one is his heaviest. Pictures don’t do it justice, we welcome you to come and see it in person.
