Become a Trolley Operator!

Have You ever wanted to take the controls of a Historic Trolley?
Here’s Your Chance!

Beginning Saturday June 6th, the Connecticut Trolley Museum will begin training new trolley operators to join our volunteer team. Our operators include both conductors and motormen. They are the volunteers who help bring the museum experience to life by operating the trolleys, assisting visitors, sharing history, and helping us safely preserve and operate our collection.

Training includes approximately five Saturdays of hands-on instruction, each lasting a few hours. Volunteers should be available for at least two volunteer days per month following training.

Requirements include:

  • Active museum membership
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Successful background check
  • Enthusiasm for history, transportation, and working with visitors!

Excited to learn new skills, operate historic equipment, and be part of our team?
