Winterfest and the Tunnel of Lights @ CT Trolley Museum
Dec 30 @ 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Event Details

ADVANCE TICKET PURCHASE IS RECOMMENDED FOR THIS EVENT

Winterfest and the Tunnel of Lights is celebrating its 44th year as a family holiday tradition. Halls are decked both inside and outside with over 15,000 lights. Outside, closed trolley cars transport jolly guests down a tunnel of lights for 20-30 minutes as they sing traditional Christmas carols with their trolley car operators. For an open air view of the Tunnel of Lights, one open sleigh car is lit up entirely with holiday lights. Be sure to dress warm and bring blankets! Inside, the Visitor Center is decorated like a Winter Wonderland with multiple model train layouts and lights galore.

The museum has teamed up with Campiti Ventures who has created holiday hologram short films. There will be several displays to view during the tunnel of lights trolley ride and while visiting in the Visitor Center. This is a unique experience for all ages!

Winterfest Photo Shoot Night

with Marc Glucksman

As the sun sets, we will head outside to photograph cars in the museum’s collection in a variety of scenes including the “Tunnel Of Lights” with museum volunteers dressed in early 20th century period attire. This event is a special opportunity provided by the museum volunteers to use supplemental lighting to photograph vintage streetcars, some of which are over a 100 years old!
We are planning to use the recently re-painted and re-lettered Montreal Tramways “Golden Chariot” Car 4, which will be making its night shoot re-debut, as well as several other pieces of passenger and non-revenue equipment.
Cost is $50 for Museum Members & $65 for Non-Museum Members. Not a Museum Member? Click here to become a Member. Questions? Email the Museum at office@ct-trolley.org.
