The East Windsor Garden Club will be holding a Plant Sale, Bake Sale and Tag Sale on May 20th from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM at the Old Melrose Schoolhouse, 195 Melrose Road (Rte 140) in Broad Brook, CT. The sale includes perennials, herbs, houseplants, vegetables, shrubs and trees as well as baked goods, tag sale items, books, craft items and a raffle. All proceeds support town beautification projects, educational programs, and a scholarship fund.

For anyone that never had a chance to experience the Jerry Garcia Band or for fans that want to relive a classic show, The Garcia Project delivers.
With precise arrangements and the proper instrumentation and feel for the various eras, The Garcia Project faithfully channels and projects the feelings, emotions and music that propelled the Jerry Garcia Band and the fans through many years of musical bliss. It’s about family, soul searching, rejoicing, contemplating, celebrating, seeking truth and loving one another.
Praised by Dennis McNally, the press, and fans, The Garcia Project has been recreating classic Jerry Garcia Band set lists with stunning accuracy and detail across the country for the past 12 years. They recently finished their new album called “Spirit: a tribute to Jerry Garcia and the spiritual songs he performed”, produced by Maria Muldaur and featuring Jerry Garcia’s bandmates Peter Rowan, Jacklyn LaBranch, Buzz Buchanan and Maria Muldaur. The CD and other merchandise will be available for sale at this show.

Join us to remember those who sacrificed for our country! Take a trolley ride operated by period dressed motormen. Learn historic information about each car you ride and how the museum began. Inside the Visitor Center you will find more static trolley cars and artifacts. Don’t forget to visit the gift shop on the way out to buy that ‘special’ souvenir. Additionally, make your own junior motorman hat and dress-up as a motorman at the Imagination Center! On the same grounds as the Trolley Museum is the Connecticut Fire Museum complete with antique fire trucks and apparatus. All activities and Fire Truck Museum entrance is included with your admission cost. The Museum will honor all Military Personnel including Veterans free admission. Military ID or paperwork must be shown to receive free admission. Admission is $12.00 for adults, $11.00 for seniors 62 and up, $11.00 for youth ages 12-17 and $9.00 for ages 2-11
