This past Tuesday, April 21st, East Windsor High School hosted its first ever Law and Public Safety Day.
Local first responders from East Windsor, CT Police Department, Broad Brook Fire Department, Warehouse Point Fire Department, and East Windsor Ambulance teamed up to give students a deep dive into the world of public service.

East Windsor Police Department officers led sessions on Patrol, SWAT tactics, Traffic Stops, and DUI investigations. Students also got a front-row seat to K9 handling and met with cadet advisors.

The East Windsor Ambulance Association team provided students with hands-on experience with intubation techniques, ventilator applications, and a look at life-saving medical equipment.

Broad Brook FD, Warehouse Point FD, and Tolland County 911 Dispatchers demonstrated various emergency response techniques including the jaws of life and using a drone for capturing aerial footage of scenes. They also answered student questions about the vital work they do every day.
