We are incredibly proud to announce that Sophia Sundar Raj, a Grade 3 teacher at Broad Brook Elementary School, was recently honored with the Connecticut Teacher Residency Program (CT TRP) Alumni Core Value Award!
Sophia was formally recognized for this prestigious achievement during the 4th Annual CT TRP Alumni Conference and Reunion held on March 5th at CCSU.
The CT TRP Alumni Core Value Awards honor graduates who serve as a beacon for the program’s mission. Sophia was nominated by our school community for embodying the four pillars of the program:
**Courageous leadership
**A deep commitment to equity
**A pursuit of excellence
**Meaningful collaboration within our schools and community
Sophia holds a special place in our district’s history as the very first teacher selected for East Windsor’s Teacher Residency Program when it was implemented in 2023.
Her dedication to these values reflects the excellence we strive for every day in East Windsor Public Schools.
