** This is an update to work on providing opportunities for promotion of Our Businesses located in the Commercial Corridors (RTE 5 & 140)- we published this story last week and someone suggested we add “Electronic” to the request.

Note this is what is allowed by Zoning regulations to announce Business is Open.

After the East Windsor Chamber of Commerce’s Business Survey was presented to Planning & Zoning Commission the EWCC’s committee has seen some possible changes from the P&Z Commission.

In the meantime the EWCC committee on these matters has been meeting and coming up some possible text amendments to continue to make the Town more Business Friendly especially in Our Commercial Corridors RTE 5 &140 .

The following is what was presented at this months 1st Thursday Meeting and adjusted with comments gather there.

**Please note that Electronic Message Boards are in place via ZBA approval for two locations already one of RTE 5 and one on RTE 140.

Rough Draft of a possible Text Amendment to Zoning Regulations for  the Town of East Windsor CT. Section 500 and 602 in regards to allowing Electronic Message Boards for Businesses located in the Town’s Designated Commercial Corridors (RTE 5 & 140).

This Text Amendment would stand alone regardless of the different designations for the differently zoned areas encompassed by RTE 5 & 140.

Plazas/Shopping/Business Center (multiple) allowed two with the actual Electronic Message Board itself allowed to be 7 ½ feet tall and 15 feet wide.

Single(one) Business property allowed one with the actual Electronic Message Board  itself  7 ½  feet tall and 15 feet wide.

At next months 1st Thursday which will actually be the 2nd Thursday Jan 8th the EWCC will be voting on the finalized version so if any Business  wish to comment or add please email [email protected] .
