Message from Brett Carra, LCSW<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

It all began with a dream to start something completely new. After careful consideration,\u00a0I established BGC Counseling, LLC, a company dedicated to providing compassionate\u00a0behavioral health\u00a0care to children, adolescents, and adults, in 2018.<\/span><\/p>\n

My goal is to draw upon my comprehensive work experience and therapeutic skill set\u00a0to fulfill and meet the expectations of my clients.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I graduated with a Master’s Degree\u00a0in Social Work in 2006 from Springfield College.\u00a0 I\u00a0am\u00a0licensed in Clinical Social Work in both\u00a0Massachusetts (LICSW)\u00a0and Connecticut (LCSW).\u00a0\u00a0I have worked in multiple\u00a0settings which have helped me to grow professionally including\u00a0Clinical Director for a Partial Hospitalization Program for Children, Adolescent, and Adults; Psychiatric Clinician and Medical Social Worker for multiple acute hospitals\/emergency departments;\u00a0Intensive In-Home\u00a0Therapy Clinical Supervisor and Clinician for traumatized youth and families; Adjunct Psychology and Social Work Professor at two local colleges.<\/span><\/p>\n

Some areas of specialized expertise include LGBTQ populations, psychiatric assessments,\u00a0couples\/family therapy, victims\u00a0of natural disasters, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Bereavement\/Grief Therapy,\u00a0and Solution Focused Brief Therapy.<\/span><\/p>\n

I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
