NRBQ<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0is Terry Adams, Scott Ligon, Casey McDonough, and John Perrin. \u201cNRBQ\u201d, which stands for New Rhythm and Blues Quartet, has often been called a national treasure, which may be why the band\u2019s music has attracted legions of devoted fans worldwide, including Jimi Hendrix, Elvis Costello, Penn & Teller, Doc Pomus, R.E.M., SpongeBob SquarePants, Michael J. Pollard, Ian McLagan, Steve Earle, Drew Carey, and Nick Lowe, among many others.\u00a0NRBQ<\/span>\u00a0songs have inspired cover versions by Bonnie Raitt, Los Lobos, Darlene Love, Dave Edmunds, She & Him, Widespread Panic, Yo La Tengo, and more.<\/p>\n

The group served as the unofficial \u201chouse band\u201d for The Simpsons for Seasons 10-12. They appeared as zombies in George Romero\u2019s movie Day of the Dead. They have appeared at the Berlin Jazz Festival, the Grand Ole Opry, and Wilco\u2019s Solid Sound Festival. In their 50+ year career,\u00a0NRBQ<\/span>\u00a0has released almost as many albums, including a series of critically acclaimed titles in the past decade, among them Keep This Love Goin\u2019 (2011), Brass Tacks (2014), and the 5-disc, 50-year retrospective, High Noon (2016). Of the brand-new studio album Dragnet, released at the end of 2021, Bill Bentley in Americana Highways says, \u201cThey play with such startling and powerful simplicity, a style that must be earned and not learned,\u201d while Uncut says, \u201c[it\u2019s] as though the history of 20th-century popular and unpopular music has gone through thorough, playful distillation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Unforgettable Fire – Tribute to U2<\/h1>\n

UNFORGETTABLE FIRE<\/span>\u00a0\u2013 Tribute to U2 Unforgettable Fire, or \u201cUF\u201d, was born on New Years Day in 1995 as one of the very first U2 tribute bands to ever perform in America. After twenty years of playing in some of the most prestigious venues on the East Coast, UF has formed a reputation among many to be one of the closest experiences to being at an actual live U2 show. The members of UF are also very dedicated fans of U2, and will not settle for anything less than complete authenticity. In addition to performing a very impressive array of U2 material from pre-Boy to the most recent Songs of Innocence and beyond, the band does everything in their power (from wardrobe to lighting) to recreate the live U2 concert setting for their audiences. In 2015, UF was invited to perform at The Cutting Room in New York City for the 20th Anniversary Party for the U2 fan website \u201d@U2.\u201d Not planned was the sudden and surprise appearance of both The Edge and Adam Clayton, who showed up a little before 9:00 PM and played two songs with UF\u2014much to the shock and delight of everyone in the club. One of UF\u2019s last founding members from 1995, drummer George (Larry) Levesanos, still performs with the band. George is a veteran drummer on the New York City music scene and has performed in many other projects before forming UF. Joining the band in the summer of 2001 was singer Tony (Bono) Russo. Over the years, Tony has brought UF to a new level of authenticity as he is regarded as one of the country\u2019s top Bono look-a-likes. In late 2002, bassist Craig (Adam) Kiell added his top notch musicianship, experience, and stage presence to the band and has been a crucial part of the solid rhythm section ever since. Late 2004 brought Mick (Edge) Normoyle to the band to complete the last piece of its puzzle in its quest to have the truest, most authentic live U2 sound. All four members of UF are talented musicians in their own right, but together they are committed to bring their audiences the best possible U2 show that they can deliver.<\/p>\n
