EAST WINDSOR, CONN., March 10, 2025<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Spring is just around the corner, and the\u00a0Connecticut Trolley Museum<\/strong>\u00a0is gearing up for an exciting lineup of family-friendly activities! From\u00a0April Vacation Fun<\/strong>\u00a0and an interactive\u00a0LEGO Workshop<\/strong>\u00a0to the beloved\u00a0Easter EGGspress Trolley<\/strong>, there\u2019s something for everyone to enjoy.<\/p>\n

April Vacation Fun | April 15-17 & April 22-27<\/strong><\/p>\n

Make the most of April break with a week of\u00a0hands-on activities and historic trolley experiences<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

Trolley Rides<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Hop aboard a trolley operated by\u00a0period-dressed motormen<\/strong>\u00a0and learn fascinating history about each car and the museum\u2019s origins.\u00a0Trolley Experiences<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Climb aboard\u00a0stationary trolley cars<\/strong>, take the controller, and let your imagination operate like a real motorman!\u00a0Crafting Station<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Create your own\u00a0Motorman Hat, custom trolley fare ticket, and more<\/strong>\u00a0to take home as souvenirs.\u00a0Dress-Up Station<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Step into the role of a\u00a0Motorman or Conductor<\/strong>\u00a0and capture the perfect photo in historic-inspired attire!\u00a0LEGO Station<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Design and build your own\u00a0LEGO trolley or train<\/strong>, inspired by both past and future designs. Creations will be displayed throughout the week.\u00a0Fire Truck Museum<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Explore a collection of\u00a0over fifteen antique fire trucks dating back to 1923<\/strong>, along with historic firefighting equipment. Admission to the\u00a0Fire Truck Museum<\/strong>\u00a0is included with your ticket.\u00a0Pack a Lunch & Enjoy the View<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Relax as you watch the trolleys arrive and depart from\u00a0North Road Station<\/strong>.\u00a0Admission is $13.00 for adults, $12.00 for seniors 62 and up, $12.00 for youth ages 12-17 and $9.00 for ages 2-11. Connecticut Trolley Museum members and children under 2 are admitted free of charge.<\/p>\n

LEGO Workshop | April 24 (10:00 AM \u2013 12:30 PM)<\/strong><\/p>\n

For young builders, the\u00a0LEGO Workshop<\/strong>\u00a0is a can\u2019t-miss event! Guided by a Museum Educator, participants will:\u00a0Build their own LEGO trolley ornament<\/strong>\u00a0using a special pre-made kit to take home when completed.\u00a0Enjoy a guided tour<\/strong>, age-appropriate for LEGO lovers.\u00a0Take a trolley ride<\/strong>\u00a0as part of the experience.\u00a0Enjoy a snack<\/strong>\u00a0included with the workshop.\u00a0Geared toward ages 8-12.<\/strong>\u00a0Cost: $25 per person & $20 for museum members (includes admission).<\/strong>\u00a0Registration is required at\u00a0<\/strong>www.ct-trolley.org<\/strong><\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Easter EGGspress Trolley | April 12-13 & April 18-19<\/strong><\/p>\n

Get ready for an\u00a0EGGstraordinary Easter adventure<\/strong>\u00a0with a day full of festive fun!<\/p>\n

Meet the Easter Bunny<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 The Easter Bunny will be\u00a0hopping around for photos<\/strong>\u00a0from\u00a011:00 AM \u2013 4:00 PM<\/strong>.\u00a0Egg-citing Crafts & Surprises<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Kids can complete up to\u00a0five creative craft activities<\/strong>\u00a0and receive a special\u00a0Easter egg with a surprise inside<\/strong>\u00a0for each activity completed<\/strong>.\u00a0Historic Trolley Rides<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Travel back in time on a historic trolley while learning about its role in transportation history.\u00a0Easter Movie & Exhibits<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Visit the\u00a0theater for a kid-friendly Easter movie<\/strong>, browse static trolley exhibits, and explore historical artifacts inside the\u00a0Visitor Center<\/strong>.\u00a0Fire Truck Museum Access<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Admission includes entry to the\u00a0Connecticut Fire Museum<\/strong>, where\u00a0\u00a0 can check out antique fire trucks and firefighting equipment. $13 per person (ages 2+),\u00a0children under 2 ride free (lap seating required).<\/strong>\u00a0Museum Members receive 50% off admission.<\/strong><\/p>\n
