Geissler’s Supermarket<\/span><\/strong><\/a><\/span> announces after careful consideration, they want to share that Geissler\u2019s has made the difficult decision to close our South Windsor location on July 17.<\/h4>\n

\u201cThis decision was not made lightly,\u201d said Bob Rybick, President of Geissler\u2019s. \u201cSouth Windsor holds a special place in my heart because I began my own career there in the produce department. <\/strong><\/div>\n
\u00a0The store, and the people in it, have meant a great deal to me both personally and professionally.<\/strong>\u201d<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Since its grand opening in 1988, Geissler\u2019s has long held a vision for the South Windsor location to serve as a flagship store. However, after evaluating all available options, leadership determined that closing the store is the most responsible step forward to ensure the long-term health of the company and support its mission to grow and serve as many communities as possible with fresh, locally sourced, quality food.<\/strong><\/div>\n

The company remains committed to supporting its South Windsor team members during this transition. Geissler\u2019s Human Resources team is working closely with all affected employees to provide support, answer questions, and assist in exploring other opportunities within the company wherever possible.<\/strong><\/div>\n
