Every rail tells a story, and every bolt turned helps keep history alive. Step onto the Track Crew this September and experience the satisfaction of working side by side to preserve the foundation that makes trolley rides possible. Together, we\u2019ll ensure the past keeps moving into the future. On Friday, September 20, and Saturday, September 21, we\u2019ll be replacing ties along Winkler Road to Hancock Siding. No prior experience is needed; just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to pitch in. If you are curious to learn how track work is done, looking for a unique way to support the museum, or want to enjoy a day outdoors with good company, we would love to see you!<\/p>\n

What to Expect:<\/p>\n

Track work is active, outdoor work that may involve walking on uneven ground, bending, kneeling, and carrying materials. Volunteers should be comfortable lifting up to 20 pounds. Be sure to wear attire appropriate for outdoor work: closed toed shoes, gloves, clothing that can get dirty. We will provide hard hats, vests, safety goggles. Safety is always our top priority, and training will be provided on site.\u00a0Keep an Eye Out:\u00a0Coming weekends in October, we will continue down the line after Station 6A (our Pumpkin Patch Station). If you\u2019d like to be part of the October project, please let Tyler know.<\/p>\n
