{"id":2100,"date":"2017-09-25T08:42:12","date_gmt":"2017-09-25T12:42:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.eastwindsorchamber.com\/site\/?p=2100"},"modified":"2017-09-25T08:42:12","modified_gmt":"2017-09-25T12:42:12","slug":"pumpkin-patch-rails-to-the-darkside","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.eastwindsorchamber.com\/site\/pumpkin-patch-rails-to-the-darkside\/","title":{"rendered":"Pumpkin Patch &#038; Rails to the Darkside!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>EAST WINDSOR, CONN., September 22, 2017<\/strong><strong>\u2013<\/strong>\u00a0The Connecticut Trolley Museum will once again be hosting its popular Halloween events, Pumpkin Patch &amp; Rails to the Darkside.\u00a0 These two fundraising events are extremely important to funding the museum\u2019s many family programs.<\/p>\n<p>This event is held with the help of the Shaker Pines Fire Dept. who add a whole new dimension to the frightfulness of the evening.\u00a0 The Fire Department also benefits from tickets sales with a portion of each ticket sold going to them.<\/p>\n<p>As the fall chill fills the air, on the darkest of nights, mournful cries of the abandoned dead are heard on the tracks at the Connecticut Trolley Museum. Come for a scare if you dare&#8230;the next trolley ride is an express to the Darkside! During this haunted experience, ride vintage trolleys into the dark woods for a fear that you will never forget. Listen to the tale of yesteryear, as you learn of a hastily moved cemetery whose bodies were left behind&#8230;their angry souls seeking their revenge. Will you survive?\u00a0The event will be held on Friday and Saturday nights starting October 6<sup>th<\/sup>.\u00a0 This experience is rated PG-13 and may be too intense for the squeamish. Hours are 7pm-9:30pm and reservations are not needed, tickets can be purchased on the night you attend\u00a0up to 9:30pm.\u00a0Admission is $18 per person and recommended for ages 16+.<\/p>\n<p>Pumpkin Patch is a family fun filled adventure where you ride on a trolley car out to the pumpkin patch field and each person can pick out a FREE pumpkin. Additionally, when you return back to the Museum you can decorate the pumpkins, get your face painted, play in the corn box, enjoy the outside play area and the entire museum. Don&#8217;t forget you can take as many trolley rides as you would like. The event\u00a0will be held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday starting October 6<sup>th<\/sup>. Visit\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ct-trolley.org\/\">www.ct-trolley.org<\/a>\u00a0for hours of operation. Pumpkin Patch will also be open Monday, Oct. 9<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0for Columbus Day.\u00a0 Admission is $12 for adults, $11 for seniors, $10 for ages 4-12 and $3 for ages 3 and under. Museum Members receive half off admission.
