On June 16, 2018 the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) will launch the new Hartford Line rail service providing frequent, fast, and reliable connections between New Haven, Hartford, and Springfield, MA.<\/p>\n

We are seeking interested students, chamber of commerce members or their recommendations, town cheerleaders and other individuals involved in the transit industry to join us as Hartford Line Ambassadors\u2014an exciting opportunity to participate during the launch of this momentous achievement for the State of Connecticut. We are especially seeking assistance on opening weekend, Saturday-June 16th and Sunday-June 17th.<\/p>\n

What is a Hartford Line Ambassador?
\nTo ensure a seamless launch for all, it\u2019s important to make new riders comfortable with the service. The intent of the Hartford Line Ambassador Program is to provide riders with a personable, friendly individual to help with questions about the service, the schedule, rail and bus connections, purchasing tickets, and more.<\/p>\n

We are seeking volunteers to serve as Hartford Line Ambassadors to be available at stations along the service route\u2014at the ready to answer questions and help riders learn about and adapt to the new transit option during its first 9 days of service.<\/p>\n

Ambassadors will receive all necessary training, provided during regular business hours.<\/p>\n

You may select the Wed or Thursday by marking a training date when you register.<\/p>\n

\nYou may select Mon training Times by writing in \u201cSpringfield\u201d or \u201cNewington\u201d in the other information box – do not select either time above if you seek to attend one of the training below.<\/p>\n

Ambassadors will be assigned in pairs for 4-5 -hour blocks of time, from June 16\u2013June 24. Ambassadors will be placed at all stations along the line. Ambassadors should choose stations that are closest to their home. Registration allows you to choose the time and day that you are available.<\/p>\n

This is a volunteering opportunity. Ambassadors will not receive compensation for their time.<\/p>\n
