East Windsor Lions Club Sets Dates for 47th<\/sup>\u00a0Annual Turkey Shoot<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
The East Windsor Lions Club announced today that Opening Day of its 47th<\/sup>\u00a0Annual Turkey Shoot will be Sunday, October 14th<\/sup>, starting at 9:00 AM at the Lions Club\u2019s shooting grounds at 37 North Road (CT 140) in East Windsor.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
During the \u201cshoot,\u201d shooters use shotguns from a distance of 25 yards to shoot at targets with\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>turkeys emblazoned on them. There are 20 shooters in each round, and the shooter whose shot that is closest to the bulls-eye wins the round.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
Shooters can win prizes ranging from frozen turkeys, frozen hams, and beef roasts, to gift cards and cash. Tickets for each round of shooting cost from $2.25 to $3.50, depending on the prize being awarded for that round. There are also \u201cspecial\u201d shooting rounds, where shooters can win larger prizes.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
The Turkey Shoot will run for six consecutive Sunday mornings, Oct. 14th<\/sup>\u00a0thru Nov. 18th<\/sup>. Ticket sales for the shooting rounds will begin at 8:15 AM every Sunday, with the actual shooting rounds running from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM (or last shooter).<\/span><\/div>\n

Shotgun ammo is provided, and there are shotguns available to use for persons without shotguns who are interested in shooting.<\/span><\/div>\n

Special: Kids 12 & under get 1 free ticket to shoot (in a \u201csmall bird\u201d round).<\/span><\/div>\n
