EAST WINDSOR, CONN., November 6th<\/sup>, 2018<\/strong>\u2013\u00a0<\/strong>The Connecticut Trolley Museum presents Winterfest 2018 and the \u201cTunnel of Lights\u201d beginning Friday, November 23rd<\/sup>.\u00a0 Winterfest will be open from 5PM until 9PM Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights from Thanksgiving through New Year\u2019s Eve.\u00a0 Santa will be onsite in a historic caboose for photos and to give a small gift to each child until he has to fly back to the North Pole on Christmas Eve.\u00a0 Admission prices\u00a0are $15 for adults, $14 for seniors (62+), $10 for children (ages 4-12), $3 for children (3 & under).\u00a0 On Friday and Sunday nights, ALL adults and seniors receive a $2 discount on admission.\u00a0 Museum Members receive half off admission.<\/p>\n

About Winterfest and the \u201cTunnel of Lights\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Winterfest and the \u201cTunnel of Lights\u201d is celebrating its 40th<\/sup>\u00a0operating year as a family holiday tradition.\u00a0 Halls are decked both inside and outside with over 15,000 light bulbs.\u00a0 Outside, closed trolley cars transport jolly guests down a tunnel of lights as they sing traditional Christmas Carols with their trolley car operators.\u00a0 For an open air view of the \u201cTunnel of Lights,\u201d one open sleigh car is lit up entirely with holiday lights.\u00a0 Be sure to dress warm and bring blankets.<\/p>\n

Inside the Visitor Center is a Winter Wonderland where Santa meets and greets children inside a historic caboose.\u00a0 Multiple model train layouts, both large and small are located in the main hall, along with more full scale trolleys.\u00a0 Hot cocoa and warm snacks are also available for purchase inside the Visitor Center.<\/p>\n
