Christopher Davis-Info on Coronavirus \u2013 19"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">State and Local Coronavirus Resources<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cthousegop.com\/davis\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2020\/03\/Coronavirus.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dear Friends &amp; Neighbors,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I wanted to take this opportunity to share state and local resources and information available to you in response to the coronavirus outbreak. The state of Connecticut has launched an extensive website at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/portal.ct.gov\/Coronavirus\">portal.ct.gov\/coronavirus<\/a>&nbsp;with daily updates on the situation as it develops and serves as a directory to other helpful online resources. This website has helpful information for families, businesses and community groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Additionally, the state has launched a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/portal.ct.gov\/Office-of-the-Governor\/News\/Press-Releases\/2020\/03-2020\/Governor-Lamont-Connecticut-Launches-Coronavirus-Infoline-for-General-Questions-From-the-Public\">24\/7 hotline<\/a>,&nbsp;in cooperation with United Way of Connecticut, for questions from the public regarding issues related to the spread of coronavirus. People with questions can call 2-1-1 or text \u201cCTCOVID\u201d to 898211&nbsp;for the most up-to-date information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Governor Lamont recently declared a civil preparedness and public health emergency for the State of Connecticut in response to recent cases of Coronavirus. The Governor and public health officials will provide daily updates on the situation as it develops. On Thursday (3\/12), Governor Lamont announced an executive order in response to the growing public health threat from coronavirus. During this time the building will undergo a thorough cleaning and employees will continue working remotely. The General Assembly is currently convened in the \u201cshort session\u201d which runs from February 5th through May 6th. Leaders of the House and Senate Republican and Democrat caucuses will continue to meet and discuss the extension of committee deadlines and how to proceed with legislative business.
