Emergency Changes to the Land Use Process<\/strong><\/p>\n

An important way for you\u00a0to\u00a0participate in the land use process and protect\u00a0your\u00a0water resources\u00a0at the local level is\u00a0through your\u00a0local commissions. Zoning, conservation and inland, wetland and watercourses commissions all have a say in approvals and conditions for projects at the municipal level.<\/p>\n

If you have been following a development in your town you might have assumed that all business has been put on hold.<\/p>\n

Governor Lamont has signed\u00a0Executive Orders\u00a07B<\/a>\u00a0&\u00a07L<\/a>\u00a0making some changes so that our\u00a0land use commissions\u00a0can continue to do business while our government buildings are closed and we all find alternate solutions to in-person meetings. While this may sound alarming, many of these changes will actually make it easier to monitor issues of concern from your own home. And some of these changes we hope will remain permanent.<\/p>\n
