TODAY’S UPDATE (7\/16): New DOL Unemployment Contact Center Operational\/ No New Cases or Deaths in East Windsor or Ellington\/ Hospitalizations Drop By 1\/ Statewide Positive Rate Still Below 1%<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Today’s data shows a statewide positive infection rate of about 0.99% for with 114 new cases from 11,453 new tests reported since yesterday.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Since yesterday\u2019s update, an additional combined 114 COVID-19 confirmed and probable cases have been reported in Connecticut, bringing the statewide total to 45,771 confirmed and 1,979 probable cases since the start of the outbreak, including 147 confirmed cases no change since yesterday) and 14 probable cases (no change in weeks) in East Windsor and 64 confirmed cases (no change since yesterday) and 5 probable cases (no change in weeks) in Ellington according to today’s state data.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The total combined resident associated fatalities reported in East Windsor is 32 confirmed and probable associated deaths (no change in weeks) and a combined 5 associated confirmed and probable deaths in Ellington (no change in weeks) according to today’s state data.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
66 patients are currently being hospitalized with COVID-19 statewide (-1 since yesterday). There are no patients in Tolland County hospitals (no change in over a week) and 20 patients in all of the hospitals in Hartford County (no change since yesterday.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
To date, a total of 613,569 PCR tests have been performed in Connecticut (+11,453 since yesterday).<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The total statewide number of COVID-19 confirmed associated fatalities is 3,515 and there have been a total of 874 probable associated fatalities since the outbreak began (+9 combined deaths since yesterday).<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
The Governor’s Office notes that the day-to-day changes are preliminary and reflect newly reported cases, deaths, and tests that occurred over the last several days to week.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

NEW DOL UNEMPLOYMENT CONTACT CENTER OPENED<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The state Department of Labor’s new consumer contact center is now operational.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Their new website debuted July 6 – www.filectui.com<\/a> with a new platform for submitting cases and a new virtual assistant \u201cTina\u201d that is preloaded with FAQs and technology that \u201clearns\u201d from additional\/new Q&As.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cAsk DOL\u201d now shows up in the lower right corner of the website. Click on that and you get \u201cTina\u201d the Virtual Assistant.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
