{"id":6586,"date":"2020-10-21T09:07:57","date_gmt":"2020-10-21T13:07:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.eastwindsorchamber.com\/site\/?p=6586"},"modified":"2020-10-21T09:07:57","modified_gmt":"2020-10-21T13:07:57","slug":"connecticut-cares-small-business-grant-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.eastwindsorchamber.com\/site\/connecticut-cares-small-business-grant-program\/","title":{"rendered":"Connecticut CARES Small Business Grant Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"layout one-col fixed-width stack\">\n<div class=\"layout__inner\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<div align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"gnd-corner-image gnd-corner-image-center gnd-corner-image-top\" src=\"http:\/\/i1.cmail19.com\/ei\/j\/69\/730\/3BD\/053526\/csfinal\/DaveL.masthead-9900000000079e3c.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" \/><\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>As Governor Lamont announced today, the state has created the\u00a0<a title=\"This external link will open in a new window\" href=\"https:\/\/decd.cmail19.com\/t\/j-l-aydshd-jukutlkjkr-y\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Connecticut CARES Small Business Grant Program<\/a>\u00a0to help small businesses and nonprofits that continue to be negatively impacted by COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>Small businesses and nonprofits in Connecticut with a 2019 payroll of less than $1.5 million OR 20 or fewer employees can apply for a one-time grant of $5,000. DECD will administer the program and online applications are estimated to begin the week of November 9. All funding will be disbursed by the end of the year.<\/p>\n<p>Per Governor Lamont\u2019s direction, half of the funds will be allocated to small businesses and nonprofits located in towns and cities that have been\u00a0<a title=\"This external link will open in a new window\" href=\"https:\/\/decd.cmail19.com\/t\/j-l-aydshd-jukutlkjkr-j\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">designated as distressed municipalities<\/a>. The program is funded from Connecticut\u2019s portion of the federal CARES Act.<\/p>\n<p>Additional information, along with eligibility requirements, can be found\u00a0<a title=\"This external link will open in a new window\" href=\"https:\/\/decd.cmail19.com\/t\/j-l-aydshd-jukutlkjkr-t\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>. DECD will also host webinars and online discussions in the coming weeks to assist businesses and nonprofits with the application process.<\/p>\n<p>We continue to do everything possible to help organizations that have been hardest hit by the pandemic.
