On Sunday, December 27 the Consolidated Appropriations Act 2021 (H.R. 133) was signed into law and includes the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act 2021. This much anticipated legislation will provide additional relief to small businesses through the Paycheck Protection Program, the Economic Injury Disaster Loan Advances, and a new grant opportunity for live venues as a part of the Save Our Stages Act.<\/p>\n

These new or reauthorized programs will provide much needed relief to the hardest hit small businesses across the country, even certain businesses that have already participated in these programs. The team at SBA are standing ready to deliver these resources, but it will take a little more time to issue the new rules required and update the processes.<\/p>\n

As soon as official guidance is available, SBA District Offices around the country will get the information out as quickly as possible through webinars and bulletins such as the one you are reading now.<\/p>\n

COVID-19 Economic Injury Disaster Loan Application Deadline extended through Dec. 31, 2021<\/h2>\n

The deadline to apply for the\u00a0Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL)<\/a>\u00a0program for the COVID-19 Pandemic disaster declaration is extended to\u00a0Dec. 31, 2021<\/strong>. \u00a0The deadline extension comes as a result of the recent bipartisan COVID-19 relief bill passed by Congress and enacted by President Trump on Dec. 27, 2020.<\/p>\n

EIDL loan applications will continue to be accepted through December 2021, pending the availability of funds. Loans are offered at very affordable terms, with a 3.75% interest rate for small businesses and 2.75% interest rate for nonprofit organizations, a 30-year maturity, and an automatic deferment of one year before monthly payments begin. Every eligible small business and nonprofit are encouraged to apply to get the resources they need.<\/p>\n

To date, the SBA has approved $197 billion in low-interest loans which provides working capital funds to small businesses, non-profits and agricultural businesses make it through this challenging time.\u00a0Apply Here<\/a><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
