First Approach EMS Education & Staffing \u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Opens New Training Center in East Windsor\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

First Approach EMS Education & Staffing has announced the opening of a new 2,000-square-foot training center. The new facility is located at 2 Craftsman Road in East Windsor.<\/p>\n

Emergency Medical Technicians are at the forefront of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and the need for additional EMTs is higher than ever, according to First Approach President Michael Davis.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s an exciting time for our company,\u201d Davis said. \u201cWith health care on the minds of everyone, the need is great right now for EMTs and first responders.\u201d \"Image<\/p>\n

At the new training center, First Approach EMS Education & Staffing will offer Emergency Medical Technician and Emergency Medical Responder courses, as well as continuing education courses for currently certified EMS professionals in need of recertification.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll of our courses have been approved by the Connecticut State Department of Health and our sponsor hospital,\u201d Davis said. \u201cOur initial courses are designed to prepare our students for certification testing and real-world applications.\u201d<\/p>\n

First Approach uses in-person lecture, skills sessions, and online learning to deliver high-quality education. Its training facility has plenty of room for scenario\u00a0practice. First Approach uses the same medical equipment and devices that students will use in the field. The company also owns its own ambulance, which further enhances its realistic training offerings.<\/p>\n

First Approach EMS Education also offers Heartsaver CPR and First Aid classes to day-care facilities, summer camps, private companies, and municipal agencies. First Approach is an American Heart Association Training Site.<\/p>\n

\u201cMany of our CPR & First Aid clients love that we bring the training right to their workplace,\u201d Davis said. \u201cWe mutually agree on a date and time. Training can usually be completed within four to five hours.\u201d<\/p>\n

First Approach\u2019s catalog of courses is extensive. Offerings include Mental Health First Aid,\u00a0Emergency Vehicle Operator Course, Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals\u00a0(PEPP), Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), Stop the Bleed, American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS CPR.<\/p>\n
