EAST WINDSOR, CONN., November 5th<\/sup>, 2021<\/strong>\u2013\u00a0<\/strong>The Connecticut Trolley Museum presents Holiday Fun with several events planned. These events include:<\/p>\n

“Winterfest and the \u201cTunnel of Lights\u201d<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Winterfest 2021 and the \u201cTunnel of Lights\u201d beginning Friday, November 26th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

Winterfest will be held from 5PM until 9PM Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights from Nov 26th<\/sup>\u00a0through Dec 19th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

Additionally the Museum will be open from Dec 26th<\/sup>\u00a0through Dec 30th\u00a0<\/sup>. Winterfest and the \u201cTunnel of Lights\u201d is celebrating its 43rd<\/sup>\u00a0year as a family holiday tradition.<\/p>\n

Halls are decked both inside and outside with over 15,000 lights. Outside, closed trolley cars transport jolly guests down a tunnel of lights as they sing traditional Christmas Carols with their trolley car operators.<\/p>\n

For an open air view of the \u201cTunnel of Lights,\u201d one open sleigh car is lit up entirely with holiday lights.\u00a0 Be sure to dress warm and bring blankets.<\/p>\n

Inside, the Visitor Center is decorated like a Winter Wonderland with multiple model train layouts and lights galore. A food vendor will be on-site serving hot cocoa, coffee, donuts & cookies up until Dec 19th.<\/p>\n

Admission prices\u00a0are $15-$20 per person and all ticket sales must be made in advance at www.ct-trolley.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Pictures with Santa<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Pictures with Santa will be held on November 26th<\/sup>\u00a0from 5pm-9pm along with everything Winterfest and the Tunnel of Lights has to offer.<\/p>\n

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to capture your holiday photo with Santa, positioned by vintage trolley cars taken by renown photographer Marc Glucksman of\u00a0River Rail Photo<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Marc Glucksman is a lifelong photographer and electric traction fan. His work can be seen across a variety of publications and platforms, including the New York Times, CNN and Trains Magazines. Check out his work at\u00a0www.riverrailphoto.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Pictures will be available on Marc’s website for purchase along with holiday card options, digital download, tote bags, picture packages and more.<\/p>\n

The cost is $20 for Winterfest patrons and $50 for non Winterfest patrons. Reservations must be made in advance at<\/p>\n

Storytime Trolley with Santa & Elf<\/strong><\/h2>\n

A great program for our younger visitors. Storytime trolley with Santa & Elf will run on Saturday and Sunday Dec 11th<\/sup>\u00a0& 12th<\/sup>. Visitors will enjoy a ride in a decorated vintage trolley car where Santa will visit with each child.<\/p>\n

Also, while on board Santa\u2019s elf will read a holiday story and each child will complete a holiday craft.<\/p>\n

Following the Trolley ride, Museum guests will head to the Visitors Center which has been transformed into a Winter Wonderland with multiple model train layouts & lights galore.<\/p>\n

The cost is $25 for any age and ticket sales must be made in advance at www.ct-trolley.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Holiday Centerpiece Workshop<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Holiday Centerpiece Workshop will take place at\u00a0the Museum inside the beautifully\u00a0decorated Visitor Center from\u00a06pm-8pm. Enjoy the views of Winterfest while building your centerpiece.<\/p>\n

Broad Brook\u00a0<\/strong>Gardens will be demonstrating how to build the centerpiece and all supplies are included in the cost.<\/p>\n

The cost is $45 and registration must be made in advance at www.ct-trolley.org<\/a><\/p>\n
