GHTD Link

Margaret Banker, LMSW Director of ADA Paratransit Services wrote to East Windsor Chamber of Commerce about the GHTD Link program and also how Longtime EWCC ally Gilbert Hayes played an important role in getting this “Service” to East Windsor.

Her Letter-

Thank You Jim for reaching out and inquiring about this opportunity for all who travel in East Windsor to take advantage of the GHTD Link.

 First I wanted to speak about how Gil has been a huge advocate of the GHTD Link program as he helped inspire the program for the East Windsor community.

 It was his advocacy to help bring more transportation options to East Windsor which lead to the creation of the program once we heard that the state was looking to fund some microtransit programs.

Gil would always ask how the community of East Windsor could be strengthened.

When our program rolled out in April 2024 one of the first presentations that we did was at Mill Pond Village.

The young people heard about our program and talked about their struggles to get transportation since they did not qualify for Dial-A-Ride, disabled transportation options, and lived far from the bus line.

The conversations with those young people had our program in turn expand our GHTD Link service to cover all of East Windsor. So this means that all residents in East Windsor can have access to $3 transportation (even wheelchair accessible trips).

Our team has been holding many presentations about the GHTD Link program lately and here is what do we ask for when people register:

Name, Email, password for their GHTD Link account.

**Note if folks do not have a smart phone or email they can still register for the program.

Our program wants to keep track of the amount of passengers served for data and funding purposes so we want folks to register. It also makes for quicker scheduling of trips.

We recently gave this presentation at the East Windsor Senior Center on 10/8/25 as well as participated in their Health Fair on 10/16/25. GHTD Link was also one of the booths at the Haunted Highway event and is one of the sponsors of the upcoming Veterans 5K races in town.

We are trying to make sure that folks that can benefit from using our state funded $3 transportation program are aware of the program. The goal is to help the most amount of people before the program ends next year.
