The EW Veterans Commission and Arts & Culture Committee are just trying to see if people have an interest in honoring an East Windsor Veteran with a banner by partially or fully sponsoring a banner
These Banners would be affixed to telephone poles along both Main Streets (Broad Brook and East Windsor), alternated with the American flags that are attached to the poles with lights.
They would be displayed between Memorial Day and Veterans Day, same as the American flags.
So far the groups have almost a dozen people/businesses interested in being sponsors of some sort so it does look good the2 Groups will be moving forward with the project, but they want to make sure they have enough sponsors before they make a commitment.
